Battery/Volt Meter not working
hey Guys i have a 2010 Ezgo RXV and the battery meter on the car is playing up (its just the standard anolge one that comes with the cart).
It goes from full to nothing in a second and stays at nothing until the cart key is turned on and off. Sometimes it doesnt go to empty it falls to half way for about a hole then to empty. Does any one know how to fix this or will replacing the meter itself fix the problem? thanks in advance |

Re: Battery/Volt Meter not working
Definitely replace. Those things are relatively cheap. I personally like the digital ones that shows the voltage.

Re: Battery/Volt Meter not working
Do not replace meter with aftermarket meter by "wiring in" to same wires factory meter uses.
The symptoms you describe on an RXV could indicate a bad battery. Before changing meter, check batteries. Use voltmeter- look for 1 bat. at about 10v. Is cart stopping unexpectedly? |

Re: Battery/Volt Meter not working
CG -- i agree..
Just not much info in post..like battery age/type/or other problems Checking batts is free and easy. I like to start with easy/free checks then move on Yes -- meter is probably bad with this description, but battery check still cheaper & easier. Hope to see post with resolution soon !!! |

Re: Battery/Volt Meter not working
I bought an OEM SOC meter last week. Plugged it in and all was good. Drilled my hole. Installed meter and plugged if back in. It hasn't worked yet.?.? I'm getting voltage and roughly .5 ohm reading at the factory harness. I guess the guage just took a dump on me. I went ahead and ordered a volt meter from Scottb today. Got to figure out how to remove the dash so I can take the old meter out and fab up a something to cover the old hole.

Re: Battery/Volt Meter not working
there was a bit of corrosion on a battery terminal which cleaning off helped a bit but still doing it and batteries are fine
