Default 2006 ezgo txt diagnosis help

2006 TXT, has rocker fwd/rev switch on dash fwiw.

Can hear solenoid engage and cart will run slowly until pedal is depressed further and then no drive.

Checking A1 and B- shows voltage starting at 37.7v and dropping to 21v.. All batteries check good. Voltage at batteries stays at 36.7 under full power (accelerator depressed fully).

Jumping solenoid little terminal to large (on side going into controller) allows cart to run all the way through the pedal sweep.

Any ideas? Solenoid dropping out?

Hope this description make sense. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a 2006 TXT PDS. (Rocker F/R on dash) Be sure to include the PDS part in your cart description so people will know which type drive system your cart has.

Disconnect the wire from the solenoid small terminal to the controller side large terminal immediately. You might be drawing motor current through the solenoid coil driver in the controller. (I suspect you are running the cart with the rear wheel off the ground, else the small wire would have smoked as well as the controller.)

You may have a bad solenoid contacts. It is clicking, but that doesn't mean the contacts are making good contact.

Disconnect the pre-charge resistor between the two large terminals.
What is the voltage on the controller side large terminal before and after the solenoid clicks?

Put the Run Tow switch in Tow first before disconnecting wires..

I have the same problem with my 2006 TXT PDS golf cart. I have replaced everything on my cart including the harnessing. Cart works good for a couple of days, then goes back into diagnostic mode and sounds the 3-2 code telling me that my solenoid is welded. What keeps causing it?

Check battery pack voltage
Check voltage at J1 Pin-4 and Pin-5
Check voltage at J3 all four pins.
Voltage at all seven test points list above ought to be identical. (38.2V when fully charged)

Thank you for the input. It now seems to be acting like it is suppose too. I just hate the fact I replaced everything on my cart and went through 4 expensive solenoids. But she is now running!!!

Can a txt use the same spindle as the RXV? I ordered spindles for my 06 txt, but the shaft on my spindles are 4 1/4” and the new spindles came with a 3 1/2” shaft
