Default 2010 PDS- Old model brake shoes question?

After some research and without pulling a wheel off I ordered a set of shoes based on year/model, etc that turned out to be way smaller than what was on there. My shoes look like the pre 1997 ones in all the ads. Can anyone confirm the correct shoes for this application? Any thoughts on how this cart could have brake shoes from a model 14 years older? Am I missing something? Thanks for any advice you can provide. Attached pics show what is on the cart now. They look like the much older model shoes to me.

Sorry for giant photos. Still trying to learn my way around here. Any help appreciated.

It does look like they (previous fleet owners) replaced only the passenger side (ones laying on the ground after I took them off) and not the driver's side which look much thinner and are likely the cause of poor and uneven braking I am experiencing.

Its POSSIBLE.....that somewhere in its past the brakes backing plates could have been replaced......or even the entire differential. at this point, there is no way of telling.

So, I ran into the same thing on my 2011 TXT48 this weekend. The new replacement shoes are 1" smaller. Is the fix older style shoes, or how do I order the correct shoes? They appear to be stamped 17L. The axle tag says its a Spicer mfg 1/19/11.
