Ok so I got it to read. Key on it shows it on the display. Select forward or reverse and it shows it on the screen. I press the throttle it goes from 0 to 100% and shows forward input but the relay shows off.

Go to the top menu, tools, options, select show charger something. It will show up under the speed sensor settings on the first tab. There is 2 options, select the other one then hit set.

Glad you got it sorted and it was an easy solution. It would be nice if they would add some of these small details/tricks to the owners manual. Like a brief troubleshooting section or something. But their tech support is great and I bet they would have walked you through figuring it out.
