Default Question for EZGO gurus

Guys,
I picked up a 98 EZGO workhorse 1000E , 36volt cart a while back, a friend of mine was looking for one and this one was a deal, Batteries were only 1 1/2 yrs old , but the guy had lost access to a charger so he was selling the cart, ( he previously was borrowing a charger) , after charging the cart up it wanted to jerk/buck when applying throttle, I adjusted the ITS and made it better, and ended up putting a new ITS on it. Now it doesn't jerk like it did, but there is no gradual takeoff in forward, in other words you can't creep along real slow, and then give it more throttle to go faster, its virtually one speed forward, reverse apparently is half speed, but smooth. I have a F & R switch on order , this one looks rather old, and a couple of the terminals look like they've gotten warm in the past, but not sure if that will have any effect on the throttle apply ?

I'm real familiar with Club Cars , but not EZGO's , my club car will go 2 or 3 miles an hour if I want, shouldn't this EZGO do the same thing ?

Its a 98 series cart, 36volt,

Disconnect the + main wire from the pack and Switch the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock wires on the back of the fnr switch. Also disconnect the orange wire from the top of the controller. Hook the main + back up and put it in reverse, buzzer will sound but when you hit the pedal it will go forward. If that drives normal then your fnr is toast.

I did that and it had no forward at all, reverse was full speed though, instead of half speed, the reverse buzzer has been deleted off this one at some point, but I don't see that having anything to do with it .

One of the terminals, I believe the 9 oclock one, Orange wire going to it, was loose when I first went to disconnect it , I tightened it up, but it seem to make no difference, my new F & R switch will be here Thursday, I'm hoping that will solve it.

This one is fixed ! It ended up being the cart had the wrong controller on it, it had an earlier controller that was for 0-5k throttle system, and not for the ITS throttle, I have no idea how that happened as I did not get the history of the cart when I bought it, strange thing was the mounting hole pattern matched the alltrax npx that was on it, I had to drill new holes to mount the Curtis 1206-03,
