Stereo losing all Saved Features in 2019 RXV Elite

So, I just bought a new 2019 EZGO RXV Elite Lithium. I had a stereo with Bluetooth installed. Now we discover that every time you turn off the cart, you lose all memory in the stereo. Bluetooth, presets, clock, everything. You must reconnect the Bluetooth and set up the stereo every time you turn it off and back on. The stereo shop called the EZGO dealer. The dealer called EZGO and there is only one solution, add a 12 volt battery. The cart is designed to lose all power, when turned off. Not at all what I wanted to hear. Anyone else have a solution? I would like to keep the stereo with Bluetooth and not just Bluetooth only. Thank you in advance. Bob, are you out there? [emoji851]

The Surepower DC converter (used in all 48v ezgos with factory lights) does support a unswitched "always on" wire in the converters plug, it is just not currently being used. It is possible to add it yourself. Take a look at the sticker on the end of the the DC converter (under the charge port under the seat) it has a plug pinout.

You would need to wire the DC converter directly to the lithium pack, bypassing the contactor in the pack assembly. That is, if the DC converter has the unswitched output for stereo memory as cgtech has said. If it were me, I would do it differently. The stereo memory wire has a very low current requirement. I would just make a 12V battery pack from alkaline cells that keeps the memory alive. You'll not need to change them very often.
