I would also suggest something like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. I've ran into a couple of deals on used batteries that were less than a year old. Sometimes you can find someone that is upgrading from 6V to 8V or even lithium, but still have good batteries. I got my solenoid from a site sponsor (ScottyB, cartsunlimited.com) and would highly recommend him/that company to anyone. Very helpful and active on this forum and will come with everything needed. Good luck my friend and keep us updated.

Yeah I see how with getting all new batteries it could run real high. I think the problem for me is, it’s such a huge project it makes it hard to wrap my head around. It’s very overwhelming especially when I can’t really picture using it all that often. But that being said, I hate letting things go to waste, it holds so many memories for me. My neighbor actually tried to fix it a few years ago as I told him, you fix it you can take it haha. He didn’t get anywhere with it though. And that was my last attempt to even work on it. But like I said I’ll keep any eye out for the batteries. Are there specific batteries that I have to buy besides them being 6 Volts?

My friend found a whole golf cart on Craigslist for $200. So I keep my hopes up lol.
