EZGO TXT - Charging Receptacle
Hello -
I need to replace the charger receptacle on my 2007 EZGO TXT. I converted the cart from 36v to 48v about a year ago, but I never changed out the receptacle. When looking at replacement parts they seem to indicate either a 36v or 48v, so I would like to know if the receptacles have a voltage rating. Any feedback on the subject would be appreciated! |

Re: EZGO TXT - Charging Receptacle
Your 36v charger port & handle do not need to be changed to be "compatible" with 48v. The connectors are fully suitable for 48v use. Which charge port you choose (like the 36v on you use now), or the newer triangle port could make some difference. I would use your current setup, and not borrow or loan from anyone for your charging needs.
Knowing your charger is now running 48v in a plug that is usually 36v. It's a battery voltage match thing, the charger plug interface hardware is plenty good enough for 48v, just don't want to mix up 36 and 48v hardware. |
