Years ago I had a cart that kept running out of juice sooner than I thought it should. After all the LED bar graph meter was barely down 1 bar when it 'ran out of go' power. So I started testing the pack with a digital meter and comparing it to the bar graph meter. Soon I realized the bar graph meter was way high and further research revealed the bar graph meter wasn't a meter at all. It simply reset each time the charger was connected- regardless of the level of battery recharge.
I installed a digital battery meter and the result is clear in the picture below. The bar graph is showing FULL while the meter is saying empty.
Every cart should have a digital battery meter

I recently installed the digital SOC for the RXV from eBay and it was very straight forward. It has a little button that allows you to switch between hours, volts, and battery percentage. It plugs directly into the harness behind the dash. I think you could remove the "gas gauge" and it would be a direct swap 👍

Psyched that lots of electrical goodies have arrived. This weekend I'll be installing a voltage reducer, 12v fuse panel, digital 48v meter, digital 12v meter, USB ports, some aux lights and, of course, a decal or two

Will post a pic when complete. It's nice to have something to work on since my jeeps are gone

If this is an RXV don't hook anything to the key switch or even probe the keyswitch wires. If unsure of how to do this on an RXV ask here. Easy to fry a $$$$ controller and some sensors.

Appreciate that and have heard the horror stories. No key switch involvement and will proceed with caution for direct battery hookup and Tow mode for safety
