Re: 36 volt ezgo
You will have less runtime and more wear on the batteries, meaning they won’t last as long. I have never seen that setup last more than a few months around here. You would save money in the long run by getting 6v batteries as intended.

Re: 36 volt ezgo
Good info from LukeL
Spending the money on batteries that are for a golf cart is the only way to go. |

Re: 36 volt ezgo
What are you using the cart for? Are you golfing all day or just rolling down the neighborhood? If you are just going here and there then the 3 12 volt batteries are fine. I have 3 12’s in mine and have been fine for 3 years. Mine is at a lake where I have a camping lease. Mainly gravel roads and a little bit of grass driving.

EZ-GOING JON, How much run time do you figure your getting? Been tossing the idea around myself for just a yard cart.

Re: 36 volt ezgo
I have never really gauged it and I charge it every night. I have never worried about running out driving around my camping lease. If you’re just tooting around your yard you should be fine. You will be limited on available amperage if I’m thinking correctly so I wouldn’t recommend pulling trailers and stuff around.
