You don't have to remove the snap ring behind the bearing until you get the race/shell out of the way. You will have to remove the inner snap ring to remove the seal.
I keep calling the outer parts of the bearing a shell because I reserve race for tapered bearings. I know the outer part of the sealed bearing is called race but it's just me. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

If you have a die grinder or a Dremel you could grind a groove out of it and it will slip right out.
