You can’t (or shouldn’t) try to run the controller on 12 V. Is it a controller or resistor cart?

No. A 92 Ezgo is a controller cart. Trying to run the cart on 12v will hurt the cart and the battery.

Positive response above refers to putting 12v to the motor to see if it turns - not to running the cart. Use 3/12s in series if you are savoy enough to know how. Basically for a non running cart buy the cart at a price you can afford to replace batteries & the speed control or leave it.

I hope this helps
