Yes it turns out the be the norm for Crown's, I had no idea that there would be such a difference. They've got them where I like them now though, hopefully they will hold there. Ellis battery definitely gave them a tune up.

So, have them "maintenance free" ones? AGM or gel? You better get your charger in line soon (if it isn't). You can kill them quickly if you don't. Don't think "it'll be fine", they can cook pretty quick with a bad charge profile. The FLA profile is actually pretty bad for "non-FLA" batteries. It's a lot of money to waste. If you were using a Delta-q QuiQ, I would offer to fix for only shipping cost . I sure hope you have it right, batteries like those are a big bit of $.....

Not talking crap at all, those are really nice, and should be treated really nice. I'll do anything i can to help keep them that way.

For your program, I typically use Fullriver, but I won't doubt your program.....

my findings on my Crown agms will do so!

It is good news to hear that Ellis battery gave your batteries a "tune up"...and quite a
tune up at that..wow...way to go!!

Johnnieb, cgtech thank you for your advise and info.

Yes my batteries are the Crown agm 6crv 220 (220ah) to be upgraded to
Crown agm to 6crvh 260 (260ah).

On the Lester Summit II 650 the agm profile # is 22259 and is set to this
profile. So I am wondering if my Lester Summit II was in a learning phase
or is it defective?

It is my impression as well that agms are very nice indeed and should be
treated as such. Am looking forward to speaking with the folks over at Crown
for their input and advice as well as Summit.

The reason I chose agms is the maint. free aspect. Currently with my lower back the way it has been, it would be very difficult to stretch bend in order to
check the fluid levels and sg of each cell.

It is my hope and expectation that my new 6crvh 260s will live long.

Again thank you Skyriver for inviting me to post my findings here. As things
evolve will keep everyone posted.

Yeterday exploring the test posts was able to attach the Crown maintainance brochure for agm batteries. I was hoping to just include the soc and dod
charts but could not find a way to make that happen. Actually got it done with
my chromebook. When I first tried to the computer's response on the screen
did not seem to indicate that the attachment was actually going to work.

So hopefully this may help others as well.
Your thoughts and advice are appreciated. Thank you

FWIW: To create a JPG (or other format) of an area in a PDF file, here is how I do it.

1. Open PDF file in Adobe Reader.
2. Select "Take a Snapshot" in Edit menu.
3. Manipulate page for desired size and orientation of area desired.
4. Click on page and hold as you expand capture box around desired area.
5. Release left button and outlined area is saved to clipboard.
6. Paste clipboard contestants into a photo editing program. I use MS-Paint that comes with Windows.
7. Do any editing needed (Add Labels - Erase unwanted stuff - etc,)
8. Save as JPG (or other available format - JPG works well for most posting.)

Sounds complicated, but really isn't. Took about 30 seconds to make the attached JPG.

Also, I convert spreadsheets and word processor stuff about the same way. Just one more step at the beginning. I use the "Print to PDF" function of my spreadsheet and word processor (and other) programs to get what I want to post in a PDF format, than convert it to a JPG as explained above.

The "Snipping Tool" is another valuable tool to capture information ... they are now also coming out with "Snip and Sketch" with improved features.

Once you start "Snipping", you will never go back !!

Hope your new Crown fla crv 260ah are working now to your satisfaction.

Had my new crown agm crv 260ah installed and have been using them for about a month now. Also had to purchase a new Eagle Pro charger as the
Lester Summitt II 650watt was severely over volting (with 65 to 67 volts)
my former crown agm 220ah. These high charging voltages would go on and on for hours on end never shutting down with dvdt. Crown put me in touch with the local representative. After looking at the cloud record of the Lester charger, the agm profile 22259 is correct for agm but was way over what Crown recommends for their Crown 1 agms.

The Crown rep worked with directly with Crown mfg to develop the right profile for my new Crown 1 agms .

Now on to my new experiences with agm crv 260s.

My cart is a 48v, ac motor Star Sirius model.

In a word : amazing so far.
With runs of:
23.3 miles stop volts 50.7 rest volts 51.2
20.4 miles stop volts 50.8 rest volts 51.8
15.3 miles stop volts 51.5 rest volts 51.7
26.4 miles stop volts 51.2 rest volts 50.8
36.1 miles stop volts 49.0 rest volts 50.2

My community is a private community with numerous loops with numerous
short seemingly steep grades to me. I need to fetch an angleometer to see more precisely.

The 36.1 mile run with 49.0 stop volts is just a hair over 70% soc based on Crown's chart with est volts of 50.2 soc is somewhere between 75 and 80% soc
according to Crown's chart.

When my new Crown agms were installed by my gc dealership..I had them order ScottyB's voltmeter... a real gem ...another one says thanks.

Have read ScottyB's how to break in new batteries....my community is not very large. It took me 3 runs during the same day to go that many miles.
More typically about 10 - 15 miles a day.. Hardly enough for a to attain a 70%
soc for the 1st 20 or so cycles of recharge...

Any advice will be welcome.

Forgot to say my previous Crown agm CRV 220ah distsnce miles run per charge had dropped to 3 miles
before slowing down significantly....can't say for sure but it seems The Lester Summitt II agm 22259 incompatible withthose agms
