Default Wired DCS find

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen something like this? I have a guy that wanted me to look at his cart because it was slow. The cart is a DCS cart, but I noticed it had a club car forward and reverse. So puzzled I removed the controller cover just to see what was actually under it. Sure enough it's a DCS control. The f1 and f2 wires are not used. So next I move to the motor to see what it is. It is an old style series motor with all the lugs in a row. This cart has been like this for years. I put batteries in it about 4 years ago, and noticed it then, but didn't investigate. I just thought maybe some put a different controller cover on it. This thing has had some serious Jerry rigging going on!

Sounds like the controller lost forward or reverse and someone engineered a switch to swap f1 & f2 using the switch. Interesting.

I'm sure it's a series motor. Old style like use to come on the marathons and old club cars. I wish I had taken pictures.
