That's a lot of jerry rigging for nothing (in my opinion). Ask to drive a stock 1995 48v Club Car before you go ruining a perfectly good TXT to make it run like the WORST 48v in history. IMHO

Seems like it would be quite a bit better than a stock 48v club car since it would have a 36v motor... what am I missing?

scottyb, I believe it was actually one of your posts that gave me the idea to do this... It was talking about swapping a 36v motor into a 48v cart with great results.... my thought was that this should have the same effect... just wouldn't have the hard launch of a high amp controller....

I really am here to learn. If there is something I'm missing I'd like to know....

This cart was barely better than scrap metal when I got it so a little custom work is no biggy... heck my batts are currently sitting on osb until I get around to replacing the batt rack that crumbled in my hands...

Needy no....
You've been helpful...
Ole scottyb seems to think this is a worthless effort but when asked to explain suddenly goes quiet.... just wondering why....

Well incase anyone wonders here's an update....
The 3 12v rv batts served me well for a little over 3 years... they're still in great shape but are going into my boat...

I got a great deal on 6 used 8v trojans a charger and a 48v solenoid for $250 total... then bought a curtis clone 500 amp controller for $140, stuff to make a programming cable for under $30 and am now running 48v for cheap....
Thanks to auggiedoggy for helping me through the process....

Very satisfied with everything

Thoroughly enjoyed the cart on the 3 12v batts but now w a 20 mph top speed and much more range, can drive it to town without worry if I choose
