Is this EZGO 36V PDS motor a goner?
Everything on the cart is pointing to a motor issue, but I’ve never taken one apart to test. To me, visually it looks burnt up. Can someone co firm or teach me how to fully test?
PS - it was a pain to get off |

To me it actually looks pretty good, it just appears that there's some rust on the armature like maybe the cart sat for a while? We will see what others say...

If that is with the armature and brushes in place, the armature is toast. Otherwise, it means there is a lot of carbon dust inside motor case.
I'm not fond of the bare copper that can be see on the from of the armature. but they don't appear to be touching. Take it to your local motor shop and get their opinion. (The commutator looks a bit ragged, but might clean up okay.) |

The Admiral B2 is a good alternative that won't break the bank. You might try to see if you can send those pictures to Plum Quick and ask if they think they can refurb it and for how much

Two of those brushes appear to be stuck. The one that is out has the white corrosion on it. You may could clean those up and get a little out of it. Of course an upgrade would be good also.
