OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
Ok 2008 Precedent Alltrax XCT 400 Amp..
The steps I took 1 Unplugged 6 wire OBC plug, spliced and connected the blue and white wires on the cart side. 2 cut and spliced the 10 gauge black wires going into the obc. One comes from the charging receptacle one goes to the controller B- but a plug on the controller. Cart fires up won't move it's like the solenoid doesn't activate, no click. Where did I go wrong? |

Re: OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
Did you put the Tow/run switch in Tow and disconnect the battery pack before starting to cut wires?
Checked for any blown fuses? There is usually one in a weatherproof in-line fuse holder near the solenoid. |

Re: OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
Yes put in tow before disconnected the negative and positive before I cut any wires? Should I take the 10gauge wire directly to pack instead of B- on Alltrax? I read the OBC bypass thread, doesn't seem anyone has this issue... I also don't have an inline fuse going to solenoid. One side comes off controller positive on side off positive. Then I have two small wires connected to the bottom of the solenoid, I think blue and blue and white one.

Headlights don't work either if that help track the issue.

Re: OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
What is the best way to check if the controller is sending the negative to the solenoid? Is there a way to check in the xct app to see if it's getting and receiving the right signal?

Re: OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
The 10g Black wire doesn’t matter for operation.
That is only negative from the Charge receptacle to B- for charging. As long as it is connected to B- terminal at the controller then that’s fine. The early IQ carts the fuse may have been near the Tow/ Run switch.Cant remember exactly. If your lights don’t work then you have a blown fuse or connected the wrong wires together. Can you post a pic of the white and blue wires you connected? |

Re: OBC Bypass fail... Need Help.
I looked for a fuse and have nothing at tow/run switch just two red wires coming in. I definitely connected the blue and white wires and I suspect you're right about the 10gauge negative, because the new smart charger worked perfectly. So now I'm down to the blue and white wire connection, maybe somehow I got a bad junction or maybe a seting in the xct, I'm at a lose. What I do know is the solenoid no longer clicks, the reverse buzzer works. This easy job now is a pain in the ***.
