Battery Charging - 2 at a time
Need to do this while my charger is down. Any certain order I need to do it in? I have 6 six volt batteries, and a 12v charger.

Re: Battery Charging - 2 at a time
Two adjacent batteries at a time. (Every other battery) No particular order.
Battery cables do not have to be disconnected. |

Re: Battery Charging - 2 at a time
I'm actually doing this right now as well.
When should I take the 12v charger off the two? And what setting to I put charger on? 6/2, 12/2 or 12/6 Thanks for the help, much appreciated. |

Re: Battery Charging - 2 at a time
You want to charge 2 batteries at a time on the 12v setting. Even at 6 amps, a pair of batteries at 60% charge are going to take a long time to charge back up. When I've discharged my pack that far, the automatic charger kicks on at about 17-18amps and will take most of 12 hours to shut off.

Re: Battery Charging - 2 at a time
gonna say trying to charge a cart with a 12V car charger will take about a week to complete. I have done this just to see how long it will take. i had mine set on 12v 6 amps.

Re: Battery Charging - 2 at a time
See if you can rent a cart charger from a local shop. It won't cost a lot and it's worth it to save your batteries! An automotive 12V charger will bring up cart batteries enough to energize a cart charger, but will never bring them to a full charge.
