Wish they did use those. They are everywhere for cheap...That is a verticle shaft. The drive shaft is on the bottom......They use a horizontal shaft on GC

Welcome to the insanity kman ......... There is a G1 section where there is someone that can guide you with experience ........ That being said
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong ..... The stock G1 uses a 2stroke engine, and if it IS a 2stroke. You'll be the one selling your unusable stuff on craigslist.

On the stock G1 you don't have forward and reverse gears in the rear end. For reverse the 2 stroke engine runs backwards. If you install a 4 stroke engine you will not have reverse unless you also install a 4 stroke rear end.

oh ok yeah i posted in there

ok back to another question, how much hp does a freshly rebuilt g1 make (new crank, rod, piston, etc., estimated hp is fine). And what about if i made a custom exhaust with a muffler off a blaster (or something close) and a better flowing filter (probably UNI) and jets(i havent seen any jets for a g1) even on CPP but from some things ive read on here he can get things that he doesnt have listed on his site.

just asking this question here because of a lack of answers in the yammy section
