How doI adjust the governor
I am new to golf carts and have a 03 ez go before the cut off to the new engine style. I just got it back from a tune up and asked them to adjust the governor to get some speed out of the cart, that was not done. I have looked at many online posts on how to adjust this but have no luck at finding what I need. maybe it's not recommended for safety or engine issues but it seems ours is dead as it hits that governor. Anyone with any link or knowledge to help me would be greatly appreciated Thanks

I've had 5 or so lifted carts and with the larger tires they are fast enough for me, never messed with a governor myself. I would try the lift first, my thought is another 5 mph is not important and at 15/18 mph they are dangerous enough not to mention the extra stress on the motor... Just me.

Thanks. After reading another post it sounds like the valves need to be adjusted also and that was just done. I think just for the sake of what's to come I'll just leave it and if I decide to do anything I'll have someone that knows what they are doing do it. Its a campground cart with a speed limit of 5mph anyways.
