Default understanding clutch upgrades

Hello everyone first time posting but long time looker. I recently picked up a 1998 ezgo TXT 4 seater and I m looking to get the most torque out of the stock 9hp robin engine until I can can upgrade to a larger engine. I have adjusted the valves and done a compression test which was 150 psi on both cylinders. I also replaced the carb just to rule out any possible issues there. I have also installed a 6" lift with 22" tires. I have changed the driven clutch to a 28 degree cam with new pads and moved spring to the #3 spot and, put a shorter 41" belt but haven't noticed much of a difference. My question is will changing to a different spring in the driven clutch help any and if so which color? Also I have ordered a green spring for the drive clutch which I also assume will help some again not sure if the color is the correct spring. I know that the stock engine doesn't have much to offer for power but Id like to be able to drive up a hill faster than walking speed. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Default Re: understanding clutch upgrades

I ran the 40.75" belt and machined the axle side clutch about 0.080" on each side. Never did the spring upgrade though, I went to a 625 not long after the clutch machine work.
