isn't one of the benefits of the board that you learn from others? Looks like Tonyton has 2 ways of doing it. I'm still trying to figure out how to attach the hinges and hopefully have them concealed.

I cut some patterns if anyone is interested. PM me an address.
You may want to cut your own, I noticed that the outside edge varies from cart to cart, slightly. Probably a little warp as it was being released from the mold. Trace the pattern to poster board (Soda boxes are good) cut it out and test fit. If you could find a short piano hinge, it would work good. They internally mount and they make short ones for some cabinets. You would attach it with rivets and then could conceal them with a veneer strip or...? The latch is the thing I'm not sure of. I would like stereo cabinet magnets, but I bounce too much for those. Auto parts probably has something for that. Or maybe a tool box lock?
I dunno....good luck!

I will send you a pm. I was thinking of a marine push button latch. He is one
Marine push botton latch

that one is a little pricey but I bet I can get one a little cheaper with a good search.

I'm glad the thread came back around the way it should have. We had what they call a drive by. Two in a row even. That happens, stir it up and leave...I misinterpret some of the meanings sometimes. Oh well.
I like that latch. That's not really high compared to over $100 for doors. I'm going to make one door. My side has a radio in it already. I bounce stuff out of that hole all the time.
Keep the ideas coming and post pics of your product if you have a chance...!!

You can get a cam type lock like this from a RV supply store for like $5...

Here is another link but only $8.95 each

That site has several under $10 and they are marine so hopefully they can hold up to a beating and the water.

that same site has lots of stainless steel piano hinges

Maybe for you maybe not??? On my console doors I have a plastic knob, Looks like a drawer knob. I have it where it stays closed by the use of a magnet, Like that on the inside of a cabinet. On the bottom of my plastic pieces I have two small hinges Like that for a doll house. To keep the doors closed I have a small magnet on the top side of the cubby hole. On the backside of my door I have a small piece of metal. Well if that doesnt make sense I could post pics. lol
