Yamaha electric cart stopped abruptly; will not start; no click from solenoid.
Cart had similar symptoms a while back and I think I figured that the solenoid had seized as they did on old automobiles; rapping on case didn't fix this, so I replaced solenoid with one from relic 36 volt electric Hyundai cart. Cart then ran fine until this failure. Batteries should not have been too drained; attaching a charger does not result in charger (auto-charger...) engaging and producing charge to cart.
Back to work, will check back later, thanx. jim nangle |

Re: Yamaha electric cart stopped abruptly; will not start; no click from solenoid.
Rusty,
When your 'message' was reported in my e-mail inbox, I supposed that you were giving a possible avenue to investigate. Thanx for the welcome [very possible I do not know how to get a message if you did send one----site is not easily useful from my perspective; it may be more "chatty" than I am used to]. When no one jumped on it and sent me an answer showing me I hadn't done my troubleshooting well enough, I went back through it and discovered a hairline crack in a cable with only abolut 5% of the copper conducting the battery voltage; enough to give good voltage readings, but when current was demanded, it balked. Problem is fixed. May re-visit when I feel that I have something to contribute or "chat" about... jim nangle |
