![]() working on 1991 ezgo electric was working fine, started quiting on my brother and he said he would let it "cool off" and it would work again for a little while. I brought it home replaced all cables with 1/0 cable on batteries and motor. sometimes it works sometimes it dont. The solenoid clicks. I have 37 volts on solenoid and to the controller when i press the pedal. Any suggestions?

![]() Remove the resistor from the 2 large solenoid posts and repeat the test, same results = solenoid is working.
![]() P.S. CheahaGolfCarts 1991 Ezgo does not have a peddle box or a peddle box micro switch used with the ITS system 1994 & up. Instead it has a potentiometer with a micro switch located on the center bracket between the batteries. |

![]() I have a 91 also. Once had a similar issue and it turned out to be the FNR switch. The switch was getting hot and would loose contact if not in exactly the right position. I rebuilt and beefed up the switch. No problems since.

![]() moved fnr switch while having pedal depressed and it would move a little. So i took it apart and it still looks new, but it did have very slight dirt/black residue on about 10% of each of four contacts so i cleaned them with a small brass wire brush. do i need to put some type of electrical contact grease or something on this before i put it back together?

![]() Perfect thread, I'm having the same issue with mine. On our last trip the kids took two carts for a cruise and returned on foot with two deaf carts a mile away. They both have charge and they click in reverse and forward but no movement...
