Default American Pride Electric Cart

Lost fast forward after replacing batteries and cleaning everything easy to get to. Accelerator travel only about 1/2 inch and then complete power loss. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Schematic shows three (3) coil resistors.

OK...

1. You may have a contact on your wiper board not making a good contact.
2. One of your connections is loose.
3. One of your coils is broken.

Check all your connections at the wiper board and at the coils then go from there.

I did a search for that cart and I read a post you made on another forum back in March....you said reverse was fine? Makes me think you have a forward/reverse switch problem. Try and look at the contacts on the f/r switch and see it they are making good contact. You can try this too....give it throttle till it stops but keep the throttle where it is and grab the f/r handle and wiggle it a little back and forth to see if maybe it makes good contact with some pressure applied. If I had that diagram I may be able to tell more about it.

Default American Price Cart Speed Control

Thank you for the information. I will bring the cart home and start looking at the items you mentioned. I will definately recommend this site to any friends needing repair info. Again thanks. After working on it I will post results.
Best Regards,
Terry
