Default Now it won't start

After getting it running yesterday I can't get it to start today. I tried to start it last night and it turns over, has fire and is getting fuel. This morning walked in the garage and there was fuel on the ground. The carb is spitting fuel out of the "vent" and I believe fuel is also coming out of the air filter. Adjusted the carb this morning and still nothing. Even sprayed ether and nothing. Could the reed valves be causing this?

when you have fuel coming out the vent it means there is dirt in the carb that is making the float stick.
you will need to remove the carb and clean it out and blow out all holes with air, install a new fuel filter when it goes be together

I will take the carb apart again and clean it but why wouldn't it fire with ether?

Just took the carb off and there must have been 1/4 gallon of gas in the hose on the choke side. Where did this come from and why?

Here is a pic of the reed valves. Not sure what you can see but there is some daylight visible through 2 of them. Could this be causing a compression problem?

the fuel in the hose is from the float sticking open! the reeds need to lay flat, is there dirt holding them open?

what is the compression

The reeds are flat but there seems to be some of the rubber gasket material missing on the edge which is allowing some daylight. Could this be causing the problem?

Just cleaned the carb again and didn't see anything wrong but I sprayed and blew everything again. Going to try and flip the reeds and put back together to see what happens.

I don't know the compression cause I don't have a compression gauge. Is there an idiot method?
