Re: G9 Engine Rebuild Advice
I want to stress something, as you disassemble
the engine take a moment and prick punch every thing. For example on the intake side of the rod punch a dot on the rod and cap, all gears get a punch mark to help in assembly. |

Re: G9 Engine Rebuild Advice
I use grease or anti seize on all pullers with a big bolt, gives them more power and saves threads. I got lucky and found the dimensions online and a machinist made me one for free, it had the clutch off in 2 seconds. There is no other way to get it off right, you are better off and likely can sell it if you want to. With sleds we used to take the bolt out a couple threads and drive around the garage it usually worked, but they run more rpm and vibrate a lot (crank vibration of a twin 2 stroke) and its not an approved way of doing it. In a sled it has a guard around it.

Re: G9 Engine Rebuild Advice
Hi, I have the same job to do. If you are looking to get some of your money back out of that clutch tool, I would be into renting or buying it from you.
