G14 bad engine vibration
I rebuilt my G14 engine about 4 months ago and the engine ran fine. I was going down a hill wide open throttle and got a bad vibration in the engine. Also the drive belt flipped due the excessive vibration. I remembered lining all the dots correctly while putting the camshaft and balancer back in. Any ideas?

Re: G14 bad engine vibration
This is what I found out, the belt slung off and bent the rear belt pulley. I straightened that and the vibration is gone. Now I noticed that the rear end has a roaring noise with a slight vibration on deceleration. The gear oil looks clean and spins smoothly while rotating by hand. Any thoughts???

Re: G14 bad engine vibration
Check the sliding sheave in the driven clutch on the rear end. I have had the same sound and also the vibration that fixed it in my case
