There are lots of people who have done it (mount a winch on the front end) and I'm sure someone will post something up soon.

As for the blade, I have thought the same thing but I'm not sure how good it would work. With the relatively low power motors we're working with as well as the traction issues that would arise from having all that weight on the front end I'm not sure how well it would really push snow. I'm sure it would work for small snows but I'm not sure how it would do with the deeper, or heavier, snows that you would really want it for. If you do go with a plow be sure to post up how it works out.

There was a post not to long ago of some front bumpers that guys were building and some with provisions for a winch. Heres mine in progress.

The blade probably wouldnt be that hard to fab up, byt like shoeless said i dont think you would be able to push a very haevy or deep amount.

Most non-lifted carts with plows that I have seen, mount the winch on the blade frame and hook it to the cart for lift.

Haven't mounted the winch yet, going to put it in the space between my custom made rack and the divot on the fiberglass between the front wheels if that makes any sense.

keep the ideas coming. i have a old wheelhorse blade that has seen its better days. i can cut the blade frame down and make a mount. only problem with the blade is it is too narrow. have to see if i can widen it somehow. want to make it so i can disconnect it fairly easy. maybe john deere style make the bottom click in grooves then top have pins going in holes. that way all have to do is un hook the pins and the winch hook and its off. I have it figured out in my head just getting it done lol
