Default 1989 Marathon EZGO electric wire identification

Hi. Wondering if anyone can help me identify a wire as well as provide advice on replacement. Seems a wire completely fried on my Ezgo. I’d like to replace the wire in hopes to restore life to the ugly ole thing so I can continue to have fun! Pictures of exactly what fried and location of where it came from attached. Thanks in advance

That has to be something added, as it is not a factory wire. Do you have lights? A horn? Turn signals?

We do not have any of that. Forgive me for not knowing anything about this stuff... our good cart no longer goes. There’s a wire from the thing that moves or engages from the “gas” pedal that also connects to that fourth bolt which I assume is the gear box or “motor”. The red line (the fried one) goes to another box near the rear wheel well which I assume is the transmission of sorts. I’ve checked our batteries and they all are reading proper voltage. This is the only thing I can see as being a problem as to why she just stopped working.

What is that Luke? Something wired to the resistor coils?

I can't make sense of it.

Now I’m almost half wondering if it’s a better cable that was there as a ground and corroded the black wire that actually should be connected there.

Look in the "Stickies" Shilly. Find the wiring diagram that is the same as your cart.

Let's start from there.

Found exactly the correct diagram. Now I just need to figure out what to buy for replacement wires. I need #4 or just the metal ring clamp that sits over the bolt on the fourth resister. And A1.

I think I’m doing pretty good for a girl lol

I believe I need a red battery cable and a terminal ring to replace correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve been searching for weeks and think I might be on to something.
