The new 2020 "Freedom RXV"s can be set for 17 MPH, but due to a lowered RPM limit will only reach 15 MPH. I have successfully increased that to 20 MPH with stock tires. That is marginally OK with me, and does not invalidate the warranty. In order to go faster, we can replace the controller with an older OS version and reach 26-27 MPH,giving you the option to switch controllers to restore it back to the original controller to get around the warranty issue. Otherwise, the new controller CAN be reflashed to an older OS, but I do not recommend it. If you have an Elite, it is OS 10 that I have seen these changes in. I have a version of OS 7.0 for the Elite models that is pre-change.

If I had not been armed, they would likely have been successful. One other member here berated me for my policy, calling me paranoid. He is the only one on my ignore list. I guess he's never had to defend himself. Cops are on the way in minutes, when seconds count. If someone tries to rob me, the cops will get there in time to haul away one or more corpses, not in time to save my life if I were unarmed.

Ok, so if I were to get a controller with the older OS how would I get it going above 19.5 MPH? Is that where "send it to Bob" comes into play? :)
