Default Charging ground wire gets hot

A couple of weeks back, the B- wire came loose on the battery pack and arced.
I could not get the nut off the post and broke the post off. Last week I replaced the battery with a decent used one.
My problem is that the charger turns on and is flashing green but the flashing green light on the charge port flashes about 5 times and shuts off. The charger still shows its charging.
The ground wire (black) gets really hot at the switch.
The switch is for cart run or cart charge.
I have kept the batteries charged with my car charger 2 at a time but this is a long and pain-staking process.
I am not sure if the controller is the problem or something much easier to replace.
batteries are at 8.18vdc (5 of them) the used one I purchased is at 8.00 vdc
shows 48.7 on my dvm and less the half on my SOC meter

Bought a NOCO G7200 12-24 Volt charger, this should help keep my batteries maintained until I figure out this charging issue

After using the G7200 charger this weekend the cart performed much better then it ever has with the powerwise Qe charger.
So now I am thinking the issue is the charger. I know the voltage is not stable at my trailer but it normally stays above 110vac.
My G7200 Input is stated as being 110-120 vac
The powerwise states 120vac...maybe this is the culprit??

Not likely... note the amperage on the Powerwise when it first kicks on then check the pack voltage once it kicks off... there’s always some bit of fluctuation in AC current... you either have a bad battery/connection or a charger with issues

If your B- wire is still getting hot... you may need to clean up your plug contacts...regular use usually keeps them clean enough but you haven’t been using it
