EZGO RXV Intermittent issues - controller? Motor Brake?

Trying to help a bud here - he is having constant intermittent issues. Cart runs then won't

Mobile tech said it's the controller - controller had no reading on diagnositics when plugged in - I thought the controller was getting no power to it when plugged in (would that matter?)

I read a few things on the motor brake causing this...

very frustrating - cart does nothing for days, then miraculously moves out of no where and runs fine.

He had a short in the dash that prompted all of this - not sure if that matters, assuming it obviously could.

any ideas?

I'm not saying it's this, but check the condition of your battery cables and replace them if there's any doubt. RXV's are very sensitive to voltage drops and can cause issues, in my case it intermittently locked up the brake.

Also, when it wont go, consider reaching down and pulling the gas pedal back towards you. Sometimes it doesn't fully return to zero position, and if it doesn't, it won't pass the startup procedure and it won't go.
