Re: Aggie70
These drawing should help. They show the voltage paths through the 1206MX and where Pin-1 is on all the jacks.

Re: Aggie70
I charged batteries again and have 38.1 pack v. Checked volts on the J3-3 and have no volt and on J3-4 it is 30.1 Wires and connection all look good from continuity test. I don't understand why I have a drop to 30.1v on J3-4. Also check continuity on tow-run switch and switch appears to be ok.

Look at the drawing I posted. B+ goes through reed switch to J1-4, through the controller to J3-3, through the Run/Tow switch to J3-4. However, the answer to your question is there are amps being drawn and there is resistance in the voltage path. |

Re: Aggie70
I appreciate your help Johnnie. I printed the diagram so I can follow it easier and do some more testing, From my reed switch location at charger interlock my wire goes to J1-4. the reed switch has been removed. will that be a problem? I know you have to be sure charger is disconnected before you use the cart

Sop many people had been stranded out in the middle of nowhere because of reed switch failures, EZGO stopped installing them. My 2008 cart came from the factory with the reed switch bypassed. (A fuse was used instead of a reed switch) If driving off with the charger connected is an issue for you, loop the charger's cable through the steering wheel to warn people the charger is connected. |
