PDS beep codes 4-1 is armature open. Verify cables are good and connections tight to the motor A1 and A2. Possible motor failure.
Test motor for unwanted continuity - there should be continuity between A1 and A2 and there should be continuity between F1 and F2 but, none between any A and any F terminal. |

If there is no continuity between A1 and A2, it could just need brushes.

Continuity only between f1 and f2
No other continuity a1 a2 none. This is with all wires disconnected |

Looks like it needs a good cleaning as well as brushes and other damaged stuff.
Be a good time to replace the bearing also. |
