Default EZGO RXV stops after letting off accelerator pedal

I have a 2011 RXV with a 2017 Curtis controller that has an intermittent issue when letting off the accelerator. I'll drive the golf cart around the neighborhood and when letting off the accel. pedal, I feel the cart slow itself down to a stop. When I step on the accel. pedal again, it doesn't move. I can hear the solenoid kick on when stepping on the pedal and off after releasing the pedal. I can get moving again by one of two methods 1) stepping on the brake then accel pedal or 2) turning the key to off then back to forward.

This is puzzling to me and I thought it was the accel. position sensor or pedal switch so I replaced them both. Issue still occurs so I'm thinking it has to do with the regenerative braking system on the RXV. Any ideas what to do next? I don't have a hand held or any way to read the codes unless I take it to the repair shop.

Next time this happens pull back on the brake and gas pedal to make sure there all the way back toward the driver.

Sometimes and mostly on the older RXVs the pedals don't quite get back to the zero position. So cart won't go.

Thank you. I will try that next time it happens. If the pedal is not back to the zero position and I turn off/on the power wouldn't it fail the start up test?

Yes and by pressing the pedal it won't go anywhere unless it is returns to the zero position.

So it happened again and I tried pulling up on the pedals but again it would not go until I stepped on the brake pedal.

Under the floor mat you have the pedal box on the drivers side. Try switching the brake sensor and the accelerator sensor they are the same. While the box is exposed look at the brake pedal movement to see if anything wrong with it.

Turning the key off and on is just resetting the controller.

You said you replaced the Accel sensor. Is that the same for the brake ? If so just put the one you took from the accel and switch it with the brake. Make sure to flip it to tow first..
