Clicking sound from front tire/hub?
I let the wife take the golf cart out one afternoon, and she came back screaming that its broke. Said she started to hear this clicking sound from front end. Said it was muffled originally, but before she could get back, it was prety dang loud. Sure enough, it sounds like a popping sound, and only every so often, it gets higher in frequency the faster you go, and at a crawl, it doesnt do it near as much. Surely this is a hub bearing? something definitly related to the front end, and directly proportional in frequency to RPMs of front driver wheel. Any advice? Thanks!

Jack up the front end. Shake and spin the wheels by hand and see what's going on with it.
Could be several things. |

Or- something under the hubcap. I’ve seen that so many times!

Re: Clicking sound from front tire/hub?
Around where I live in Arizona, palm tree seeds can easily get stuck in the tire tread. The seeds can be slightly hollow and really make a racket at times. It's the easiest fix I could think of.

Agree with mooncarter
Jack up cart and move front wheel. Also inspect tire for rock stuck in tread. Worse case bad wheel bearing.reletivly inexpensive replacement. Good time to remove inspect and lube other front wheel bearing. Be sure to “pack” bearings with grease, not coat bearing with grease |

Re: Clicking sound from front tire/hub?
Just a thought, are all the lug nuts tight on the wheel? I've seen lug nuts work loose before and cause a clicking noise

Lol, yes, the wheel lugs were loose. Like 3 of the 4 I could screw with my bare hands. Not sure how the wheel didnt fall off. |
