Default Using two contactors for FnR reversing replacement

2004 36volt Txt
Standard Curtis 1206 controller. P/n 25864g09.
Bonus points if you have also done it with a Curtis 1205M controller!

Has anyone used two standard contactors to create a reversing FnR circuit to replace the standard manual FnR switch? If so do you have a diagram for how you wired it? I am looking to check my work, before I apply power. Thanks!

I suppose you could make one, but why go through all the hassle when you can buy a reversing contactor already made for that purpose, that is much easier to hook up?

cartsunlimited.net -Scotty sells them on his website.

Because I'm building on a budget and I already have a few contactors lying around. Plus I like the challenge of building and learning.

Go for it then. It’s doable.

It is pretty simple but the individual contactors need to be SPDT, is that what you have?

If so, what is the model number?

If You have the "6 posts model" solenoid, check out this thread and this post for the proper location for the Motor cables:
