It is a series style cart. I have the original controller , a know to be good one from a friend and a brand new curtis. All three same results. My question is what voltage should I be seeing at the motor upon depressing throttle? I have 36 at s2 and a1. A2 and s1 go from 8 to 0. Where's my ground ? I'm sorry but I'm still learning the basics of buggies:)

There is not a ground in an electric golf cart. Every circuit has two wires, one eventually connecting to B+ (Battery positive) and the other eventually connecting to B- (Battery negative).

So we are all on the same page, unless otherwise stipulated, all voltage measurements are made with the DVM's negative (Black) test lead attached to the battery pack's main negative terminal.

Attached is a schematic of a series drive with the single current path through the batteries, solenoid contacts, motor armature, motor stator and F/R switch contacts highlighted. (F/R switch shown in Forward)

I cannot reconcile the voltage readings your getting with a potential failure, so please verify the cable connections from the A,B,C&D terminals on the F/T to the A1,A2,S1&S2 terminals on the motor and where the negative test lead was when the voltage readings were made.

Did you figure this out I have the same issue I had put in a new F/R 6 months ago and it has been fine but then it just stopped working and I have the voltages I should have at the motor and the forward and reverse switch as well.

Let me know if you fixed it.

Thanks
