ACCELERATOR switch
The top lug on the ACCELERATOR switch witch would be top speed is arcing and glowing when you push the ACCELERATOR all the way down. What would cause this to happen?

Re: ACCELERATOR switch
Worn out contacts, or "sliding contact" is worn thin enough that spring cant keep proper pressure. Dont fall for "well, I'll stretch out the spring", not gonna do it for you. The parts are fairly cheap to fix it right. If you have big tires, big motor, high-speed gears, any of these, this problem will be back before long. The "resistor carts" dont do well with "make my cart big & fast" upgrades.
