Default AFTER speed sensor

I got a question about my cart I have an EZGO TXT with PDS believe it to be an '05.* The other day it would not go very fast I assumed "limp mode" after a few test I determined that it was the speed sensor to which I replaced it.* Jump in the cart, after*replacing the speed sensor and boom its off to the races!!* Park the cart go inside come back out and its right back to the same behavior wont go over about*7MPH.*

Any ideas on what could be wrong, its acting like speed sensor is bad.

Did you closely inspect the magnet under the speed sensor?

Not closely, but it didn't move (I poked it with my finger) and it was fully intact.

A speed sensor fault is only one of several conditions that will cause a PDS cart to run slowly.

Put controller in diagnostic mode and listen for the error code. The attached PDS label gives the codes and the text at bottom of label tells you how to put controller into diagnostics.

----------
If it is speed sensor (1-3 error code), check the plug/jack interface at the controller end. J-5.

Found it A1 on the controller was touching A2 on solenoid. I guess overtime it rubbed and finally rubbed thru the casing and caused a short.

So I assume that when I pulled the cover it moved just enough but then after going up the driveway it touched again.

Crisis avoided!! Also I did a video of how to change speed sensor on the TXT as I couldn't find one anywhere. I'll post it once my 7 day noob period is up!
