Default How to stop reverse beep?

How do I stop my cart from having a beep/alarm in reverse?

I recently got my first cart, 2015 TXT T48 with a 2" lift, 12" street tires, custom seats, ... but standard electronics and motor. When it was delivered there was no reserve beep. Over the weekend I disconnected the battery to wire up some signals and a dash volt meter and when I hooked everything back up the reverse beep was there. It's a single, long beep.

Please help me make it go away, it's just annoying enough to drive me nuts.

I don't know your specific cart but getting the beep to stop should be as simple as disconnecting one of the wires going into it.

A bigger question is what made the beep start after your work to begin with. I can't offer much there, unfortunately.

If it were me, I'd put a piece of electrical tape over the beeper. That's what I did 4 years ago. I like knowing the cart is in reverse but the beeper is too dang loud. The electrical tape cut the volume on half. Maybe more.

Thanks for the electrical tape trick. I’m going to try that.

I did this last weekend. Much quieter, but nice to still know I'm in reverse.

On my 2017 EZGO txt I unscrewed the plate on the dash that the key switch is mounted too and the reverse beeper is mounted behind it. I unplugged the wire and that stopped my beeper.
