Default What cart do we have here ?

Buddy of mine just picked up a $400 cart.

All I know is it's a 2004 EzGo and is 36v.

Attached is a pic of the motor controller.

He just installed a new set of batteries and a lift kit with 23" tires is on order.
He also plans to upgrade all the cables to 2g.

I think he could benefit from a new Alltrax controller too. Lots of steep hilly terrain in his area.

Any idea what he has ? I don't know squat about EzGo stuff.

Is the factory controller programmable ?

Thanks in advance.

That's a series control as indicated byt the few control wires vs sepex. This cart is weak and slow. 23 inch tires will bring it to it's knees on steep hills. Good thing he got it cheap it will need a 48v conversion and new electronics to perform well.

as Scotty mentioned above.....its a series cart.....and you are right, especially seeing as its hilly, he needs to do a few things, 500a controller, HD F&R or Reversing Contactor set-up, and the 2 ga. cables. AND jump to 48v.....THEN when he wants/needs more speed, get a new motor.

I know....when I got my first/current cart.....its what I got, and what I did. you can see everything in my sig.

He just put 6 new T105's in it... so it will have to stay 36 volts for now.

I think a new controller may be in his future though.

well actually......if he wanted to, he can put 2 more 6v batteries in the bag well and go 48v. and by making that jump to 48v it will get you a 33% jump in both speed and torque.
