Potential project cart for wife
I have come across a 1984 EZ GO, 36v. Batteries suppose to work, so is the charger. Plan will to lift it,paint and for wife to use at our property. Any problems known for this year?
Thank you |

Re: Potential project cart for wife
Check frames for rust since they are steel. Also, I will almost guarantee that the battery trays will be rotted apart, also because they are steel

Is replacing the battery trays a hard process? I can weld, etc but never seen a EZGO yet

Re: Potential project cart for wife
I just got a free 3 wheel ezgo from the same era the battery tray is GREAT but the frame is almost rusted out. Rust is a killer of steel carts, be prepared to fight it.

Be aware this is a resistor coil drive system. Research before you buy this cart with intentions of putting big tires on it.

Re: Potential project cart for wife
Well, I think I came out pretty good on this trade. I knew once I search Google on EzGo it was a 93-ish cart via pics/year model site I found. We met, cart runs and stops good. Via a vin search on EZGO site ...its a 1995 Medalist. The bad is a homemade lift I will have to fix. The good: came with a charger, extra rims/tires, Has a bed and came with an extra bed(going on my G29). Extra motor included, for core and rebuild.
I would like to thank Scottyb for his advice on my post's. |

Re: Potential project cart for wife
2012 Yammy G-29 and the 95 Medalist..wife's cart. Frame and battery tray is pretty clean. I plan on stripping it down to frame, then rebuilding. She is thinking she wants purple camo
