I already have an accessory battery in the bag well. For my led light bar, USB port, and winch. I have no more room. I wish I could do a lipo conversion kit for 1500.00 with a charger. When I say wish I mean a company that has a reasonable price kit. Not the 3k plus I've been seeing.

Well I have been quoted 2 prices so far for the ranger 160. $187 and $157 each. So I'm thinking the $157 is a good price. I was hoping around that $150 price.

have you used Trojans before, If so can you compare them to the crowns, price, life expectancy, run times etc? If it would be apples to apples I'd like to know, batteries are expensive and I need new ones lol.

I got a quote 947.00 for the ranger 160s. I had the factory crowns I liked them they served their purpose. But I hear more people likeing the Trojans. So I decided to go with them in this next month.

Trojan makes the ranger which gives about 30% more run time If I remember & then they make the traveler which is designed to last longer. I have two carts, two purposes. One is at camp, beefed up, very hilly, some off road, gravel and travel a good bit, say 10/15 miles at most. The other is home cart, on the street so I'll build that one more for speed and street driving so those batteries I'm not too concerned. I don't need the long range on the home cart so I'm thinking traveler would get me the most years use out of them if the cost isn't too high. The Camp cart I'm torn, the regular Trojans batteries make the majority of the trips easily but a couple times I went below 50% charge. I think with me more aware now that probably won't happen again but still not sure. These things cost a good bit, not like buying gas for a cart that can run forever on a tank so I want to really make sure whatever I buy is the most cost effective and will serve the purpose.

Yeah Ranger R-160 is where I'm going. Considering the larger 500amp controller I have.

Hey scooter an .. The Crowns have the thickest plates in the industry
I prefer crowns over Trojans any day , crowns have a good rep . Although so does Trojan

I'm thinking my new DPI charge is what's going to make the real difference I belive. You can have the best batteries but having a charger to match them is where it's at.
