How heavy of springs do I need?

I killed a couple of pigs this weekend and together they weighed about 225lbs. Add my almost 200lbs and the smallest bump or pothole bottomed the suspension out. How heavy of springs do I need? Medium or heavy?

I would consider coil over shocks or air shocks instead of leaf springs. The thicker springs all seam to ride really rough.

I have heavy duty springs and air shocks on a ezgo and yeah it rides a little rough but nice to pull deer out and all your gear ! I don't drive like a mad man either so the rougher ride doesn't bother me

I would say yes to the heavier leaf springs ! Them alone will make a difference without changing your shocks ! Hell I could not run shocks at all with the heavy dutys but I had them laying around so I put them on there

Well the place is rocky and rough. There are very few places where you can run full out. That's one reason most of the hunters use UTVs. They hate putting there trucks through the abuse. I just wonder if medium is enough or go HD.

That's gonna be a personal preference ! I know mine with hd leafs in the back I go through woods and rocky stuff and it's fine and I also don't fly through it either ! It's a golf cart cart so it's never gonna ride like a quad or a side by side . I think all golf carts are crappy rides ..lol ! But they sure are fun

Depends on which ones you buy. Most are thicker AND multi spring. For my 72 volt club car I get the HD springs and only use the main one, Softer ride. but they will still bend, Ive gone through several. They only really bend and mess up in conditions like this.[IMG][/IMG]
Then while pulling them out you sometimes bend a spring. Its still worth the cost to me to leave out the second spring, I hate flat beer!

My fields are so unpredictable, one second all is good, then BAM down to the darn axle! I keep a 10,000 pound 300 foot aircraft cable for these unfortunate times and keep the tractor on the high ground.
