k0 batteries question

I've got a question about my batteries, I am guessing they are 2010, they still seem to run good but the top pos and neg posts are starting to corrode and are deteriorating some. I am wondering if I should try that Epsom salt mix in my batteries to prolong there life or will that affect it negatively instead of helping? Also I am guessing there is nothing I can do about the posts deteriorating but that's how it was when I got the cart. Thanks for the help

I have never tried the epsom salt in a golf cart battery , distilled water is the only thing I will put in my batteries.

I tried the epsom salt in an old car battery with zero results. No loss to me it was going to be replaced anyway.

I don't believe it works, and no logical chemistry supports it working.

Without a picture I have no idea how bad your post are.

Clean the tops but do not add anything but distilled water to the insides!!!!!

Those are pretty dirty. I would pull all the cables off, neutralize acid with baking soda and water mix. Get after the battery terminals with a wire brush. Clean your cables with a wire brush or replace. Do a final rinse before you reconnect the cables.

Excellent plan! Lead doesnt actually corrode, but stainless stud will, cable terminal will, nut will, clean everything until no more bubbles appear. Then you should be able to see whats save-able and whats junk. Nothing but water (distilled or RO) inside battery ever...
