Re: Bulb Replacement
You may have the headlights hooked to the turn signal wires.

Re: Bulb Replacement
I keep thinking I screwed up something in the wiring too, but it really just unplugging the old 9004 style and plugging in a new one. Similar to an extension cord. Kinda stupid proof, at least I thought that. I will unplug and replug and check again to make sure I did not pinch any wires together.
I just keep thinking it has to be something with the single stage bulb replacing the hi/low 2 stage bulbs but like u guys can't figure out how the brake light wire comes into play. |

Re: Bulb Replacement
Yup, it was the bulbs. I found the old ones and switched them back. hopefully soone can learn from my mistake. Anyone know if they even make the hi/low LED bulbs? If not, any recomendations for halogen
I also canceled my ordered 42v/12v reducer after reading on here that 10amp may be a little under powered, especially if i have to stay with halogen bulbs. What are most of u guys using for a reducer/converter? 20amp? I was trying to save a little $ but after replacing batts it seems a little silly to try to save $40 on a reducer. |

Re: Bulb Replacement
I'd go 30 amp on the reducer, Scottyb sells a great one for 89 bucks:

Re: Bulb Replacement
Thanks Jake, That's the one I have been looking at and started to order initially but the website indicated it was out of stock, I now see it also says In Stock. It references "buggiesgonewild.com" for tech support. Are there specifics on here that I am missing? I was trying to find dimensions so I know I can find room for it under the seat. Pretty cramped under there now.
Thanks, Dave |
