Late 80s club car slow on hills
Hello, I resent key bought this club car and I have checked all of the batteries and all read 6.3v except 1 reads 3.5. I plan on replacing just that one bad battery. Does that sound okay? Next I have the problem with my cart slows to almost a crawl while going on small and big hills what could be causing this ? It's a 36volt. Is it normal to go that slow? Thanks for the help!!

It's late 80s technology. It's going to be slow uphill. However, changing the bad battery you mentioned will help tremendously.

Awesome thanks for the quick reply! Now is there anything else that could be causing it to go slow? And is it okay to just change that one bad battery and not replace the whole pack?

Re: Late 80s club car slow on hills
If you mix new and old batteries the new battery is quickly reduced to the level of the old batteries. Sometimes you can find a good used battery of identical amperage capacity for less than a new battery but - either way it's okay to change one battery.

I would see no problem just changing the bad one out. Its the old weakest link story.
