Default Accessory Wire Harness Burnt

Hi, I'm NEW MEMBER, and I have a 2003 EZ go with factory lights.
The problem I have is the lights don't work but the cart run fine and I have used it this way for the past year as I don't play in the dark.
I getting i ready to sell and I checked it and found that the fuses were blown and the brake light bulbs were blown as well. I replaced them and still no lights. I traced the wires from the fuse block and found that the wire harness under the cart below the driver seat have burnt together. There are 12 wires. several are the same color. I cut out the burned wires and I have good wires going from the fuse and the back of the cart, and good wires going to the front of the cart.
I need to know how to reconnect the wires.
I looked for a wire diagram for this harness, but with no luck.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

lou, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Here is an accessory wiring diagram for a cart with factory lights. Might not be exactly correct for your year but should be very close. Note that the turn signal switch is included but very likely you don't have one. Read the note at the bottom of the page. The harness is pre wired for the turn signals however. The connection is under/behind the cup holder.

Thanks a lot, finally I have something to start with.
Lights, horn, and meter do not work at the present. So I'm hoping that once I reconnect the wire harness everything will work.
One other question, several of these wire have what is called a butt connection, can I check the wire to see if it works without damaging anything as I believe that these wire on off the fuse block.
Thanks again

You can use butt connectors to repair the raw wires you cut. Tape them after crimping. Those old EZGO harnesses are temperamental at times, and it cost over $100 dealer pricing to get one. If the wires were chaffed or broken and grounded out prior to blowing the fuse, you might be needing bulbs as well. The excessive heat damage you describe sounds like a system that grounded out. You'll want to check the whole harness for other damage as if it overheated on one end, it probably overheated on the other end as well.
